The Mayor
Mayor Peter Land is the chief executive officer and the chief elected official of the City of Crown Point. Mayor Land is responsible for the administration and management of the City. He appoints and supervises department heads, appoints members to boards and committees, addresses constituents concerns, prepares and submits the annual City budget to the Common Council for review and approval. Mayor Land also represents the interests of the City at the local, state and federal level and promotes the City through professional representation at community events.
Chief of Staff
Anthony Schlueter is the City of Crown Point's Chief of Staff. Anthony works closely along side the Mayor. He is responsible for the oversight of all city departments and coordination of special projects and interdepartmental initiatives. He performs a variety of management duties including insurance and tort claims. Economic development of the city to encourage and support the retention and expansion of existing businesses with the local area, support public infrastructure improvement projects to improve the quality of life for the residents is also part of Anthony's responsibilities.
Office Staff
The Mayor's Office staff is made up of Office Manager Mary Waisnora and Secretary Marsha Essary. The Office serves as a channel for the public seeking information or to address concerns regarding City government and municipal services.
The Office of the Mayor has a broad range of duties and responsibilities which include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling meetings with the Mayor
- Special Letters & Recognitions from the Mayor Proclamations
- 21st Century Recycle Program
- Residents’ Complaints/Concerns
- Insurance Claims
